The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel
Sector: Hospitality and Transport
Scope: Commission and Verification
Few restorations are attempted on the scale of The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel. Few are so successful.
Manhattan Loft Corporation worked with a raft of craftspeople, heritage experts and tradespeople for eight years to sensitively restore Sir George Gilbert Scott’s Gothic masterpiece to its former glory. It’s almost inconceivable to think that a few years ago this impressive London landmark was facing the wrecking ball.
244 elegant bedrooms, a stunning ballroom and a reception that was once a station taxi rank are just some of this restored icon’s five star features.
Advanced Fire Solutions provided technical expertise to enable the completion of the fire protection in this tale of a true renaissance; of a national treasure that that is today, once again, the pride of London.
The fire alarm system comprised 5 Gent Vigilon panels networked together, with air sampling systems being used to provide un-obtrusive detection to the decoratively sensitive areas.
We were also engaged to design and implement integration between the hotel system and the St Pancras High Speed Rail Link.
